Dickabram Bridge - Miva - QLD (PB00 5128)

Keywords: Dickabram Bridge - Miva - QLD (PB00 5128) Theebine Kilkivan Maryborough Mary River Gunalda

A well known landmark in in the town of Miva is the Dickabram bridge. The bride carries rail and vehicle traffic side by side over the Mary River in what is best described as a good test of your suspension if you are on the Bridge as the train goes by. The brige was built in 1878 and was washed away by an accumulation of logs in 1880. It was rebuilt in 1938 to more than handle a repetition of the 1880 flood. A beautiful structure to admire if you are in the area.
