Bridport - TAS (PB00 5172)

Keywords: Bridport - TAS (PB00 5172) 7262 Barnbougle Golf Course Mermaids Beach Anderson Bay Adams Beach Trent Water Goftons Beach Eastmans Beach Mattingleys Beach Murphys Beach

The pretty town of Bridport, a one hour drive north from Launceston is located on the southern end of Anderson Bay. It is the centre of scallop, trout and lobster industries. This is an extroarionary image showing the town in the foreground, a mix of very low cloud and sea fog in the mid ground with the tips of Flinders Island and Cape Barron Island in the background. I must mention Barnbougle Dunes Golf Course which can be seen below the sand patch on the right hand side. It is one of the top 50 golf coures in the world, and is actually set in sand dunes. The course is beautiful at any time of day but in early morning light is simply stunning.
