Cradle Mountain Lodge 2 - TAS

Keywords: Cradle Mountain Lodge 2 7306 Cradle Valley Waldheim Chalet Dove Lake World Heritage Overland Track Lake St Clair National Park Walls of Jerusalem National Park

The Cradle Mountain Lodge is one of the premier resorts in Tasmania. Cradle Mountain is world famous for its bushwalking. The 6 - 8 day Overland Track from Cradle Mountain to Lake St Clair is one of the highlights of my walking career so far, with several seconary paths which you can take including to Mt Ossa (1617m), Tasmania's highest peak.It was getting very dark while I was taking these photographs. I was in a very boggy, swampy area, and couldn't see very well. Suddenly I heard an animalistic grunt - I spun around and was one step away from treading on an enormous wombat. He eyeballed me then ran for his life. I was very relieved.
