Bustard Head Lighthouse to 1770 - QLD (PB00 3316)

Bustard Head Lighthouse (built in 1869) sits atop Bustard Head, not far from the Town 1770 and Agnes Waters, about a 1 hour drive from Gladstone. Interestingly the town of 1770 is recognised as the Birthplace of Queensland, due to the fact that Captain Cook and his "Endeavour" crew came ashore here on the 24th May 1770. The two township areas can be seen at the end of the sweeping beach in this aerial photograph.
